Apacer AH321 8G USB flash drive...
Mass-produced into two disks: 1. USB-CDROM disk (with a DEEPINXP boot CD placed)
2. USB-HDD (DOS system)
Boot the computer into pure DOS using USB-HDD, and the mouse and keyboard work normally. If I then load USB4DOS or DUSE... the lights of the mouse and keyboard go off, and they can't be used...郁闷!!!

I also want to ask experts... I want to use my USB flash drive to boot the computer into DOS, then add USB drivers under DOS, and then read the data from another USB flash drive. Is that possible?
Also, if booting the computer with USB-HDD, how can I read the other disk (USB-CDROM format disk) in the USB flash drive?

It is suggested that after booting from USB, do not load the USB driver again. If you want to load the USB driver, do not boot from USB. Otherwise, there are two USB drivers, one from BIOS and one from DOS, which are very likely to conflict.

Then, how to solve the problem that the USB mouse and keyboard can't be used after loading the USB driver?

Every time I see such a post, it proves my grudge again: The large-capacity mechanical magnetic memory is still good! Manufacturers should set a unified standard like the floppy drive, so as not to have to look for this driver and that driver, and also have to consider compatibility issues. It should be like a floppy disk, just plug it in and use it.

It is estimated that machines based on BIOS have no hope.
Machines based on EFI have such standards, but computers based on EFI basically cannot run DOS.

In fact, as long as the BIOS has relevant standards, and all manufacturers comply with such standards, this problem will be easier to solve. To go further, if there is an open-source project of BIOS, or all manufacturers support open-source BIOS, this problem will also be easy to solve. Once the BIOS issue is well handled, there will be no need for any drivers at all.

There used to be projects similar to openbios, but they ended up being abandoned.

The key point is that the memory available to BIOS is too limited. BIOS is 16-bit and can only access 1MB of memory, and 640KB of basic memory needs to be reserved for DOS.
Only a part of the 384KB of UMB can be used to put device drivers, and it is too difficult to support various devices.
