Fake password?! What does that mean? I tried the HPA template from Lao MaoTao several times yesterday. I erased all the things on the disk, and it didn't make it. According to the prompt, it seemed very correct, and no error was reported. It said to power off, and when I powered on again, the screen just showed "Loading...", and it didn't move for a long time. Then I used the USB flash drive to boot into the DOS system, opened SPFDISK, deleted the last partition (said to be the HPA partition), created it into a normal FAT32 format logical drive, rewrote the master boot record with FDISK /MBR, restarted, and the computer could boot normally, looking normal, but the HPA area was not established. My hard drive is supported by HPA as seen with MHDD. Does this "Tsinghua Tongfang's HPA tool" establish the HPA area before restart or after restart?
I personally think it should be established before restart, but the result was not established. That area was very easy to delete, obviously not the HPA area, and the computer froze after booting again. Is this the compatibility problem of this software?
