I haven't installed it, but I saw other people transfer files in a DOS window under Windows before

Oh... was it transferred with software like IPXCOPY?

I remember they first used the net ....... command to connect the two machines, and then they could copy files

Oh... so it uses the TCP/IP and NetBEUI protocols that come with Win9x. Then that's very simple, just use the NET USE command to connect to the other side's drive.

Many thanks, webmaster. Could you explain it in more detail and list the command format?

Sure..

Let me give an example. There are two computers, one with the network name \\WENGIER, and the other \\SLIUJIA.

Suppose there is a shared network path C on \\WENGIER (for example, pointing to C:\), then on the computer whose network name is \\SLIUJIA, enter:

NET USE K: \\WENGIER\C

In this way, drive K on \\SLIUJIA is mapped to drive C on \\WENGIER, and then you can easily copy files. Understand now?

Got it. What does K mean here?

The following is quoted from sliujia's post at 2003-7-1 11:27:16:

K is not a parameter, it's a drive letter~~ that is, it is virtualized as drive K, similar to the SUBST command.
