I just downloaded a USB hard drive boot image, and I want to use my external USB portable hard drive to boot my laptop, but I don't know how to do it. Is there anything else I need to set up? Thanks.

(1) You need to change a setting in the BIOS, and boot from USB--ZIP or USB--HDD!!!
(2) If not, then you'll have to use the boss's MS-DOS Super Boot Disk, and use software to boot the USB device (don't tell me you don't have a floppy drive)!!! |

You guessed it, my laptop really doesn't have a floppy drive or CD-ROM drive
PCould you explain it in a bit more detail? My BIOS really doesn't have USB--ZIP or USB--HDD options (pretty perverse machine, hehe) But I can use my USB flash drive to boot, so how can I use the portable hard drive under DOS after that? Thanks. |
