I want to reinstall the system. How do I get into MS-DOS?
I used a WIN-ME CD to boot into DOS, but it failed—it went straight into WINDOS. |

Choose the boot mode. When the system boots, a boot mode selection menu will appear. You should choose to start in DOS command line mode.

You can install it by going straight into Windows too!

First of all, OP, your post doesn't even have a title, that's pretty irresponsible.
You don't need to enter msdos to install windows; just boot directly from the installation CD and install! Also, boot CDs from winme and above don't seem to support entering DOS, right?! I don't remember clearly. |
