Personal guess, the impact is negligible.

The lifespan of a hard drive is reduced second by second as long as it is powered on.

Not necessarily. If a hard drive is often used to run BT, eDonkey or Thunder for 24 hours, its lifespan will be greatly shortened. Therefore, under such circumstances, the impact of formatting the disk is completely negligible

Re: alchemist
There has been such a saying before, but it is said that it has been improved now, and it is related to cache settings. It is said that this problem no longer exists now. |

Hope that the several times of self-formatting did not affect his performance

Re: DOSforever
It's just that the current network speed is relatively much slower than before, and it doesn't have much impact on the hard drive lifespan. If there are several GBit of bandwidth all used for P2P and P2SP, the hard drive lifespan will still be very short, right |

As long as you don't often hang BT, eDonkey or Thunder for 24 hours, the hard drive should not break before you change to a new computer.

If you don't download large things, using BT and eMule is generally okay

Formatting the disk is essentially a process of writing data

Actually~
To be honest, when your hard drive fails, it's probably time for you to replace your computer~ So I personally think just use it casually~ |

Slow formatting will have an impact. You want the hard drive to run for hours...
Fast formatting won't have an impact. Now that hard drives are so large, generally it's fast formatting, it's no big deal... |
