I really admire all the experts represented by Wengier!!!
I’m a firm Windows user (after all, almost all the software I normally use is on the Windows platform), though of course I also use things under DOS once in a while (when I first got into computers in 1997, it was still the time when DOS plus Windows 3.2 were all the rage).
What I use most often is Total Commander, this pirated thing. I’m tired of the weak Explorer that comes with Windows. Equip Total Commander with a full set of plugins, including one that can create and modify floppy disks and hard disks (but only FAT12 partitions), and then use it to modify Wengier’s beloved masterpiece! It really is extremely convenient!
Someone previously introduced a way to make floppy disk images larger than 2.88M, and I found that using TC with this plugin is also quite convenient, without needing a RAMdisk. The only shortcoming is that since it only supports FAT12 partitions, the maximum hard disk image size is 32M.
