Not too clear. I guess it doesn't hide bad tracks; the bad areas it can't repair are all marked out. The change in capacity is not big and can be ignored.

Yesterday morning I repaired an 850M hard drive and found about 40 bad sectors.
Last night before going to sleep I repaired my 20G hard drive, and when I got up this morning the count showed more than 400 bad sectors in two places. Today I used Windows Scandisk on drive E: (there is one bad area in it), and it reported finding 36K of bad sectors. The other place wasn't tested yet (not partitioned), but the situation looks pretty good. Before, whenever Scandisk reached that spot the machine would definitely hang, but now it can get through.
