That's right, especially the drivers. Nowadays the system can usually recognize graphics cards and network cards, but it mostly can't recognize sound cards.
If you can't find the driver, that'll be miserable.


If you have no CD-ROM drive or floppy drive, and there's no backup of the drivers on the hard disk, then you'd better not reinstall the system.
In that case your machine will very likely become nothing more than a display piece.
It's best not to repartition unless it's really necessary, unless you're extremely dissatisfied with the current partitioning.
A complete repartition means delete first and then repartition, so it's 3-2-1, then 1-2-3.
After partitioning, just format and it can be used.
