Windows2000, when booting it prompts: disk boot failure,insert system disk and press enter. Sometimes after restarting it’s fine again. What’s the problem?

Be careful, maybe your hard disk is about to fail!
When this message appears, it means your boot sector sometimes can’t be read.
Your boot sector may have a problem!
Back up the important stuff as soon as possible.
Then check the disk. Use scandisk to check it. Or use dedicated hard disk diagnostic software (there is special testing software for each hard disk brand).
