I found that there are still people in the forum figuring out how to connect to a local area network under DOS. Now it's really a waste of time to still be learning to connect to a local area network under DOS. Learning the installation and use of MSclient 3.0 is of no use. If you want to access the local area network, file and printer sharing under DOS, please directly use or refer to

For problems, use the forum's search function more. There is no need to learn outdated things.

Hope this post can help all those who want to connect to a local area network under DOS but don't know how.
Supports the most network protocols, the most complete network cards, and the most network functions.
Supports multiple network protocols, supports automatic detection of network cards. Supports 4 protocols: MS's TCP/IP, compatible IPX, NETBEUI, and IBM TCP/IP.
Can drive multiple identical and different network cards on the mainboard. Fully supports all series of network cards integrated in NVIDIA mainboards. Obtain MAC under DOS, obtain the IP from the current DHCP server end....................

Thanks. I want to ask, I once successfully mapped a drive in DOS using XP, but then it hasn't succeeded once. Every time the DOS system is shared well, when using XP to map, it always can't find the network path. Checking NET VIEW \\computer name in the DOS system always prompts error 51. After deleting the share and trying to share again and checking NET VIEW \\computer name, it can work again. As soon as XP tries to map, the above situation ERROR 51 appears again.
What should I do? PING 127.0.0.1 is okay, and it is connected with XP, but I don't know the reason.

Accessing DOS - shared files from XP can only be done by mapping a drive letter. If the DOS machine can't be found in XP's Network Neighborhood, one has to keep searching and then try mapping, which is practically meaningless, very unstable, and has slow speed with frequent disconnections. NET VIEW is very hard to execute successfully.

Hello, I don't know how to set up XP to support mapping under DOS. My friend's computer can, and he is using XP. I checked the group policy and NETBIOS, but it still doesn't work. I don't know why. Please help everyone.

Thanks, I've understood, it's a problem with the virtual machine settings. It's already solved. Thanks here to xugaohui and hughoki, they are the ones who taught me to share and connect to the internet under DOS. Thanks~~~

Can the owner help solve the DOS network problem under qemu and bochs: )
I know that qemu uses the rtl8029 network card (the latest version seems to have an error when adding this driver, the earlier version does not have an error, but it still cannot be used, whether directly using the packet driver or the ndis-to-packet driver), I have taken a look, it seems that it has built-in ip and other settings. I will try again. It is more difficult than vmware and vpc.

Give you a bump.

I want to ask if there is a software that can convert the ODI mode network card driver to the package driver mode?
