I formatted the E drive (non-system drive) today with (format/q), but there are a few files in it that are a bit useful, so I thought of the unformat command——It's really strange, I searched all over the internet but couldn't find it... Just searched to this place, I don't know if anyone here has it, if you do, post it, thank you!

Go and fully install DOS. Don't just pick up what's missing when it's needed.

It is supplemented that only the MS-DOS 6.22 version comes with external commands such as UNFORMAT, UNDELETE, etc. The MS-DOS 7.10 version has removed these commands. The UNFORMAT, UNDELETE in the 7.10 version downloaded from the DOS Union website are actually from Noton Utilities.

If the hard disk is in FAT32 or NTFS format, the UNFORMAT from DOS 6.XX is powerless. Because it doesn't support these hard disk partition formats
