I'm installing MS-DOS 7.1 on VM6.0. When the installation path appears, I click Next and get a message that it can't be installed to the path C:\DOS71, and I need to enter a correct path. The note says: No trailing backslash! And don't enter LFN for now. Then I click OK and it goes back to resetting the path, but no matter what path I set, it doesn't work. It's frustrating. It is not completely correct to say that there is no relationship at all, but it is just that the content of a file in the host has changed.

After clicking OK, REROOT appeared with an invalid hard drive prompt. Press restart, then ESC to boot from the CD. At this time, a FAT32 space on the hard drive had been created, so MSDOS could be installed naturally.
