I'm a newbie, and I'm planning to use an A-D data acquisition card under DOS to implement high-speed data collection (80Kbytes/sec). Using interrupts won't work, so I want to use DMA programming. Could some expert please tell me the specific way to operate the 8237? I'd be extremely grateful!

As for how to use the 8237~ I'd suggest you buy a book on IBM PC architecture and take a look.... It should have a very detailed introduction inside...
