Why is it that in lynx, when I directly enter an IP after http;//, it adds an extra single quote and then it can't connect. How should I fix it? arachne seems to do this too.

What single quote? I don't think I've ever seen that.

For example, if I enter http://192.168.0.1 then the IP it connects to turns into 'http://192.168.0.1' — it just adds quotes like that and then it can't connect (This was posted with lynx, why do even 2 characters come out wrong... so annoying! )

Could it be that there's something wrong with your settings? I've never run into this kind of error when using Lynx.

?????????????????????// That's not how it is in my lynx. Why is it so strange? I mean http;//ip turns into 'http;//ip' So it has extra quotes. Entering a website address works though (sometimes entering an IP works too) lynx is really incredibly hard to use I can't stand it anymore better use ie instead : )

Totally agree. If only someone would develop a better Chinese DOS browser.

arachne is pretty good it would be great if it could support Chinese : ) Can that be done?
