Give some introduction!

I. Introduction to Main Software:

1. WipeInfo
A good tool for hard disk zeroing (low-level formatting), a component of NU80, compact and practical, and does not damage the hard disk.

2. AWDFLASH (1996 version)
BIOS tool. A necessary tool for upgrading and repairing AWARD BIOS damaged by CIH. The version is a bit old (the latest version is seen below), but I am not using it because it is small in size, does not take up space on the floppy disk, and besides, my computer is old, and this version is sufficient.

3. CMOS Password Cracking Tools
Two tools. First, CMOS-PWD is a tool to view and crack CMOS passwords, compact and practical, suitable for cracking BIOS passwords of various models; second, CLS-CMOS is a tool to clear CMOS passwords, and of course, it also clears other parts of CMOS. The effect is the same as "loading factory default values" in CMOS or the DEBUG clearing method (Note: For security considerations, the file extension of the CLS-CMOS.COM file is renamed to CLS-CMOS.CO_, and when using it, change the name back to CLS-CMOS.COM to be usable.

4. DM 5.1 (1992 version)
Low-level formatting tool. Actually, it also has functions such as partitioning and formatting, but due to the old version, it does not support FAT32, so I only use the "low-level formatting" function. The biggest difference between it and other "low-level formatting" tools is: it can perform low-level formatting on any track (LFORMAT and BIOS integration, etc., do not have this function). The biggest advantage of this function is: it can reduce the damage range to the hard disk, and the speed is extremely fast, such as low-level formatting of track 0.

5. Other Commonly Used Commands or Programs: Including several commands of DOS 6.22: FDISK, FORMAT, SYS, EDIT; several small programs: LIST, RESET, HD-COPY

II. Making the sos1 Emergency Floppy Disk:

1. Extract sos1.zip to a folder on the hard disk
2. Insert a good floppy disk: no need to format, just run HD-COPY.EXE ----> select GET FROM FILE and press Enter ----> enter C:\TEMP\sos1.IMG and press Enter ----> select WRITE and press Enter ----> press the ESC key, press Y key, and exit HD-COPY. The production is completed.

DISKEDIT Chinese Version
Disk tool, disk editor, the main tool of NU80, the biggest feature is that no matter what operating system is installed on the hard disk, it can be viewed and edited. It is a good tool for beginners to understand hard disk knowledge and for experts to recover hard disk data damaged by CIH (it is said that most virus makers and programmers of anti-virus software companies use it as a common tool). There are too many functions to explain all at once. BFHF
Data Backup This is a small program written by Ren Liang. Although it is only 3KB, it can back up and restore three important data: "hard disk partition table", "main partition system boot record", and "CMOS". Back it up on a floppy disk, which can be used when the computer does not boot.

DISKMAN
Partition Tool This is a very excellent domestic software, supporting FAT16, FAT32, OS2, NDFS and other formats. It is much more convenient than FDISK partitioning. If your English is not good, use it. It also has 16-bit viewing function and instant help prompt function prepared for beginners. (No Chinese character system support is required)

Other Commonly Used Command Programs
Including several common DOS commands of WIN98: SCANDISK CHKDISK DISKCOPY FDISK FORMAT SYS EDIT, etc.; and CIH prevention small program (included in AUTOEXEC.WIN)
