I have set fontfile /fonts

The fonts file is included in the downloaded version of GRUB4DOS 0.44, but after setting it, Chinese characters still cannot be displayed. Is it that my font library has a problem? I saw that others can display traditional Chinese, and I also used their font libraries, but the result is still that Chinese characters cannot be displayed.

Can it support traditional Chinese fonts? I have tried several methods and cannot display traditional Chinese. How should I do it to display Chinese characters? Is there a tutorial for us novices to do this?

Thank you

1. Please use the main programs related to grub4dos in the chinese directory in the grub4dos download package. The files in this directory are the ones with the Chinese patch applied.

2. Use a supported font library. For example, if a font library with the filename fonts.gz is placed in the root directory of any disk, you can set it as follows in front of the menu item in menu.lst:

find --set-root /fonts.gz
fontfile /fonts.gz

Because the development of multi - language support for grub4dos is not finally completed at present, so if you use the traditional Chinese font library, garbled characters may appear. It is recommended to directly use the English version or use the simplified Chinese font library.

At the same time, it is recommended that the landlord download the latest 0828 version of the grub4dos CHM graphic novice tutorial written by Brother lianjiang in this forum at http://www.newdisk.cn/?gghost.

You can use a traditional Chinese font library (fonts) and cooperate with a simplified Chinese menu to achieve displaying a traditional Chinese menu.

The traditional Chinese font library can be extracted from ucdos, and the file name is hzk16f.

It seems there is also a download in the forum, you can look for it.

I now find that on different motherboards, sometimes it still displays in English even though I have set it to Chinese, while on other motherboards it can display in Chinese without changing the settings in between.
