Today I had nothing to do, bored to fiddle with the computer. Accidentally upgraded the hard disk to a dynamic disk. As a result:矮人DOS, MAXDOS, AVLGO and other DOS toolkits using GRUB4DOS as the loader cannot be used normally. DOS cannot recognize the local hard disk. I analyzed the reason, it seems that dynamic disks have no partition table! (I don't know if it's right) Anyway, (hdx,y) cannot be used on dynamic disks. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Although there is no way, I still need to thank the reply of Budian. The fact that GRUB4DOS currently cannot be used on dynamic disks means that without the help of a CD drive or a second hard disk, it is impossible to use GHOST to install and restore the system. What a pity. I think the only way is to use PE to delete all partitions on the disk and then convert it to a basic disk. I really hope that GRUB4DOS can be used on dynamic disks in the future...

Nowadays, basically no tools except MS's own support dynamic hard disks, so the necessity of GRUB supporting dynamic disks is not great. But Paragon can support the conversion from dynamic disks to basic disks, and there's no need to delete all partitions.
