A boot disk made according to www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/cdrom/
Then I updated some files and added support for long filenames and Tianhui Chinese. I think one advantage of this disk is that you can choose not to load the CD-ROM driver at boot. When you need it, just type cdrom and it will load immediately, and the boot speed is very fast. It has already been made into 1.4 ima format, and there is absolutely no problem using it as a CD boot file for burning. There are quite a few good articles and some good links on the nu2 site, all related to boot disk technology (all in English) Can't upload ima files? |

Wouldn't changing it to a *.exe file do?
Compress it with winrar! Or just change the extension! |

You can upload IMG files, just change the extension to IMG.

This function is also in my instant Chinese-localized boot disk, and the statements are relatively much more concise.

"I think one advantage of this disk is that you can choose not to load the CD-ROM driver at boot.
When you need it, just type cdrom and it will load immediately, and the boot speed is very fast." I added this function to my boot disk a long time ago. My original idea was the same as yours, but later in actual use I found there were very few chances to use this function. It is made up of 3 files, CDROM.COM CD-ROM.EXE CD-ROM.SYS and only supports IDE CDROM. You can rename OAKCDROM.SYS or VIDE-CDD.SYS to CD-ROM.SYS and use them. Open attachment CDROM.COM CD-ROM.EXE |

So many extra files, what a hassle. Wuyou uses this method, and I scrapped it. To implement this function, just one batch file and CTLOAD are enough.

CTLOAD has some compatibility problems, while with this CDROM I haven't found any problems so far on any machine or virtual machine I've come across.

CTLOAD has compatibility problems? It seems I haven't found any problems after installing it on quite a lot of machines, and the virtual machines didn't seem to have any issues either. On what specs did you find problems?
