There is a file test.txt under the directory D:\123..\prn\nul\con But at the root of D, “dir /s/b/a-d test.txt” cannot find this file How can it be found?

This doesn't seem to be a title for the batch file section... can't help it Everyone thinks the batch file section is popular...

I don't know what the OP wants to find this file for, but TYPE can find this file TYPE D:\123..\prn\nul\con\TEST.TXT TYPE D:\123~1\prn\nul\con\TEST.TXT Both lines above can find it

What if you don't know where the full path is? The OP wants to know how to find files under that kind of directory. PS: It's in plp626's post.

At the root of drive D, “dir /s/b/a-d test.txt” can find the path of test.txt in normal directories, but it cannot find it in malformed directories. Suppose that test.txt were a virus...... then ```` hehe

Use this software: http://xbeta.info/1exe1/find.rar How to use it: when running it for the first time, click “CreateSnap”. After it finishes, you can search.
