China DOS Union

There is a file test.txt under the directory D:\123..\prn\nul\con
But at the root of D, “dir /s/b/a-d test.txt” cannot find this file
How can it be found?

This doesn't seem to be a title for the batch file section... can't help it
Everyone thinks the batch file section is popular...

I didn't feel there was anything inappropriate... at most it also belongs to the Q&A room..

I don't know what the OP wants to find this file for,
but TYPE can find this file

TYPE D:\123..\prn\nul\con\TEST.TXT

TYPE D:\123~1\prn\nul\con\TEST.TXT
Both lines above can find it

What if you don't know where the full path is?

The OP wants to know how to find files under that kind of directory.

My purpose is to get the path of a certain known file. At the root of drive D, “dir /s/b/a-d test.txt” can find the path of test.txt in normal directories, but it cannot find it in malformed directories.
Suppose that test.txt were a virus...... then ```` hehe

Thanks, brother tireless, but it still can't find it, and besides I mainly do it through P

I remember plp626 did quite deep research in this area... should probably look for his posts
