First problem: under DOS I can't find the CD-ROM drive letter (the hard disk has four partitions, C, D, E, F; under DOS, CD G: shows invalid drive;
Second problem: under WIN98, after booting directly from the CD and clicking "Install XP", it hangs! (The CD is a pirated burned disc
);
Third problem: WIN98 was always installed on drive C. After a virus infection, I used a GHOST image file to overwrite drive C, and the XP installed on drive D can no longer be used! So I was going to reinstall XP to drive D, but now I can't install it. I don't know whether the overwritten WIN98 is causing it to be impossible to install now??????

I understand how you feel. But did you post in the wrong place?
I'll move it to the Windows and other systems section.
Also, I'll give you an answer.
Dizzy... I originally wanted to move it to the Windows and other systems section, but then I saw
that only the title got moved there, and none of the posts were moved over. Sigh.
These admin functions aren't very easy to use either...
So I had no choice but to unlock this one here again.
(Roy's note: Moved.....
KO: Maybe you just don't know how to use the admin functions.........)
