DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

I'm completely clueless about DOS. My system has run into trouble, and I want to reinstall 98, but I can't. It has to be installed under DOS, so I'd like to ask all the experts for advice: how do I install it?

If you don't have a bootable 98 installation CD, you can enter DOS and switch to the CD-ROM drive (for example F, F:\>then enter the Win98 installation folder (for example Win98), F:\>Cd win98,F:\win98>then type Setup /is and that's it. Remember that Smartdrv.exe must be loaded on the boot disk, otherwise it'll be slow as hell, hehe
