In the 3Com MBA Utility Disk v4.30 package, there is a directory named imgedit, and there is a tool called 3Com Boot Image Editor. With the help of the virtual floppy drive vfloppy, you can conveniently convert standard 1.44M and 2.88M floppy disk images into PXE-bootable image files.

Generally, directly downloading the standard Win98 boot image from the internet and extracting its bootsect is okay. As for whether the command.com or io.sys can be directly replaced by the replacement method, it may not be possible.

BFI - Build Floppy Image is a convenient software to generate bootable software images at the command line.

A reference example:
.\bin\bfi -t=288 -f=ng_bd.img -o=COMMAND.COM -b=.\bootsect.bin .\NG_BD
Place command.com, io.sys, msdos.sys in the NG_BD directory and a bootsect, then you can use bfi to generate a bootable image.

I need pure DOS 7.1

I found the 7.1 version in the download area, but besides three files, there are many external commands.

I use 3COM, and this disk can't add GHOST because it's too big.

Do you want to do network ghost? There is a "GHOST Multicard Template" in http://dato.ys168.com, and there is a "build.rar" inside which has examples of using bif to generate corresponding network card drivers and different versions of DOS.
