China DOS Union

Surpassing DOS Home was actually something we already achieved long ago. The fundamental reason is that DOS Home's moderator has already run out of ideas, yet still clings to the empty title of being number one, relying on old capital and showmanship to keep things going.
As for why our China DOS Union is thriving, of course it depends on everyone's joint efforts. Most important of all are the outstanding contributions made by Wengier: new DOS software, general-purpose system disks, USB drivers, the MINWIN boot disk—these keep taking us to one new goal after another. The Internet dislikes conservatism the most; only by changing constantly can you keep your appeal.
However, one day Wengier will leave the China DOS Union, or no longer be suitable as the Union's core, regardless of what we want, or even what Wengier himself wants. If by that time there is no suitable successor, then DOS Home's today will be our tomorrow. Of course, we can't say exactly when that day will come, but as Wengier graduates and starts work, this issue won't take too long to appear.
So in my own view, the question of training successors can already be raised. Of course, future successors may not necessarily be as all-around as Wengier. So there may be more than one person. The work of future successors is: ① to love DOS and have fairly good foreign-language ability, so they can keep track of changes and developments in DOS abroad, and even represent domestic DOS enthusiasts in dialogue with enthusiasts overseas. ② To have a strong technical foundation and the ability to innovate, so they can propose and achieve new goals. ③ To have some coordinating ability, and unite Union members to promote and develop DOS together. Points ① and ② are especially important.
My own view is that while the China DOS Union should strengthen its outreach, it should also encourage innovation, encourage surpassing others, and encourage members to raise all kinds of questions and think of ways to solve them—even far-fetched ones. In this way we can cultivate new talent, and from that new talent select new successors, so that our China DOS Union can continue to thrive and develop for a long time.

Moderator Wengier is going to leave our Union?? That can't be true, right??

After Wengier graduates and starts working, it will be impossible for him to devote too much energy to leading the China DOS Union.
ROY's succession would not be forever either; Hong Kong's certificate exams are also very demanding.
The best possibility would be for DOS to gain major promotion as it has abroad, with large numbers of young DOS experts constantly emerging, so that DOS can continue to innovate and develop, and the Union can keep moving forward.
