How can I view system processes in a DOS window, and how can I stop an application?

In pure DOS everything is single-threaded; there is no multitasking or multiple processes.
Likewise, under WIN2K and xp, the DOS window uses VM technology, that is, a virtual machine. In a single DOS window, it's impossible to see other threads, because the operating system forbids (protects) it. |

waterz is a bit off
under win2k and xp, that command prompt (cmd) can view the machine's processes this is different from that command under win9x the process lulu999 mentioned under DOS means TSR programs, right? there's software for killing TSR programs on the moderator's website |
