Please note that spfdisk cannot directly convert traditional Chinese characters to simplified Chinese characters. There is an extremely small Chinese character display system inside it. Directly localizing it will cause garbled characters. This is true even for the English version! Only the text version I uploaded above will be useful after localization!

I still have a tool here. Let's see if it's useful. Open the attachment

I don't know if the super moderator can also come to help me take a look!
If it's a master: not that I can't understand English but that the English is shorter than Chinese and can't be put in with EDIT2!

Fill in the bytes. Is that okay?

I don't suggest to simplify Chinese on the basis of the English version of SPFDISK like this, but it's better to modify it on the basis of the traditional Chinese version of SPFDISK. The specific method is to modify files such as BOOTMENU.C in the source code of SPFDISK, and there is no need for localization at all.

The following is the work I modified that I uploaded. Everyone can have a try:

Open the attachment

Instructions: Please first load a Chinese character system that supports Big5 encoding (such as CCDOS97, etc.) and then run it. When using it under CCDOS97 with the simplified Chinese character font (HZK16), it will be displayed as simplified Chinese. When using it with the traditional Chinese character font (HZK16F), it will be displayed as traditional Chinese, which is very convenient.

In addition, if you want GB-encoded Chinese characters to be used in Chinese character systems such as UCDOS, then everyone can simply convert them themselves with a BIG5->GB converter.

That's great. Wengier's method broadens the thinking.

Oh no! It's garbled under Tianhui!
Moderator, please help!
I'm confident to successfully localize it into Chinese!
Also, the spfdisk without the Chinese character system should be smaller, right!

The following is a quote from Shen Jie on 2003-6-17 20:19:13:
Not good! It's garbled under Tianhui!

To make it work normally under Tianhui and UCDOS, that is, to convert BIG5 code to GB code, right! Okay, I can do it in a few minutes and will upload the GB code version of SPFDISK immediately.

The following is my modified work--GB simplified Chinese version of SPFDISK:

It can run completely normally under Chinese character systems such as TW, AW97, UCDOS, CCDOS97, etc. Everyone, give it a try.

The trial situation on my machine is very good.
I am using TW + SPFDISK.
I have always wanted to find a Simplified Chinese version of SPFDISK to include in my own super Chinese boot tool CD, and now it's finally solved!
Thank you, super moderator!

I would like to make a suggestion: can you slightly modify some of the Cantonese-accented words?
For example, "分割" should actually be changed to "分区".
"硬碟" should be changed to "硬盘".
"选单" should be changed to "菜单".
"软碟" should be changed to "软盘".
"讯系列" should be changed to "提示信息". There are too many local accents, and I won't list them all here!
If these obvious errors are not corrected, it won't be much different from the traditional Chinese version!
I hope the moderator can take a little more care to make the changes.
Little brother thanks in advance here!

Finally, add one more point. It seems that some places are not completely localized. For example, the error prompt statements are still in English. I hope they can also be localized in the following modified version! Thanks!
