My machine got upgraded!!
Original specs:
Intel P!!! 600MHz
256MB SD RAM
Intel i810 Display
New specs:
AMD Athlon 2600+(2133Mhz)
512MB DDR 333 RAM
ATI Radeon 9500 Displsy

Very impressive!

By the way, mw16.2ya.com should be upgraded at the same time too.

The display went out right after that too... I opened the case and, man, the CPU was pitch black..
A CPU that cost me several thousand just died like that... it pissed me off so much....

So ASUS has put out another SiS motherboard. What new features does the SiS748 have?

SiS748 is the first to provide support for advanced technologies such as a 400MHz front-side bus, DDR400 memory spec, AGP8X graphical interface, and MuTIOL® (Miaoqv) 1G, and it also introduces HyperStreaming architecture technology for the first time. In SiS748, SiS exclusively provides dual support for a 400MHz front-side bus and a DDR400 memory controller, which can greatly increase data processing speed and bandwidth and perfectly demonstrate the excellent effect of synchronized operation between system and memory. If ordinary single access is used, latency can be reduced by as much as about 43%.

Multiple Streams with Pipelining and Concurrent Execution. Through an overall parallel architecture, this technology can effectively widen data transfer bandwidth and simultaneously process non-sequential data, improving system performance and allowing peripheral devices to work together more flexibly.

Specific Stream with Prioritized Channel. It can identify music and video files downloaded over the Internet and assign dedicated bandwidth and channels for them, ensuring smooth playback.

Smart Stream Flow Control. Through management by the Smart Arbiter, when dealing with external chipset interfaces, this technology can make serial streams more efficient according to differences in protocol and characteristics, and can even improve the usable access space for the processor through effective flow control, thereby increasing system throughput and execution efficiency.

That's possible, because when I opened it up to look, even the thermal paste had turned black. The fan never stopped, and I had chosen a dual-blade fan too~
