In the past, when we used QV under the TW Chinese character system, the computer would crash as soon as we viewed an image. This problem has never been solved.

Among the Chinese character systems, the only one that has no conflict with QV is ghos, but it conflicts with HD - copy, EMM386, etc. Especially, it conflicts with EMM386, which leads to some sound card drivers not being able to be installed. For example, this is the case with my home's sblive sound card.

Now, I finally found the solution to the problem!

First, load the sound card driver and TW, then load ghos. In this way, there will be no problem of not being able to load ghos due to EMM386!

First, rename QV to QV246. Then, write a batch file named QV for easy use:

cd ghos
ghos
cd..
cd qv246
qv246
cd..
cd ghos
ghos/x
cls

From now on, as soon as we run QV, ghos will be automatically loaded. After QV exits, ghos is automatically unloaded.

Back to the TW Chinese character system.

Isn't this method very clever! Here, I really hope that the moderator Wengier can upload the Chinese -汉化 cracked version of QV2.52 as soon as possible!

Just the file sizes of EMM386, himem, sound card drivers, and QV2.52 version, they can't fit on a single floppy disk.
Oh right, this wasn't originally prepared for a boot floppy.
Moreover, sound card drivers aren't universal, right!
Of course, they should be made into a bootable CD or directly installed on the computer!
For a CD, 100MB isn't too much, right!
These days, who still uses a local hard drive smaller than 100MB!

I have never found that EMM386 and GHOST are incompatible. Anyway, GHOST runs normally under my MS-DOS 7.10 (there is a command "DEVICE=EMM386.EXE NOEMS I=B200-B7FF" in CONFIG.SYS).

Here's the translation:
I did it like this. Before running qv, first check if tw is running. If not, directly load phos. If it is, first exit tw, then load phos. When exiting qv, then load tw again. It's very simple with batch processing.

My method is more ingenious,
Write a batch file,
Named QV
Rename QV2.46 to Q.
After executing the batch file,
Automatically load ghos
Then run Q
After Q finishes running, automatically exit ghos
Is it clean enough!
