I think computers are for people to use, but not everyone is proficient with computers. There are just too many so-called computer idiots, so I think that in developing a FREE operating system, the first things to solve are ease of installation and ease of use. It would be best to make installation and operation foolproof. At present there are many graphical systems based on FreeDOS, and I think developing a Chinese-enabled operating system is already very mature. We can tackle some Chinese add-ons for DOS-based graphical operating systems, then collect and screen application software, make a complete operating system/application software collection, burn it into a bootable CD image file and release it on the Internet, achieving completely foolproof installation. As for usage, we should adopt a method that imitates WINDOWS. I believe that only then will DOS applications get rid of their outdated situation.
