Is anyone going to say I'm using public office for private gain?

I suggest that each moderator mark the good articles in their own posts as featured...
Of course, featured threads aren't limited to posts made by moderators; posts by regular members can be selected too.

I'll organize them whenever I have time.
Members can also send private messages to moderators to recommend featured threads. It's best to include the thread link and a brief reason.
Then the moderator can mark it as featured.

Once we have featured threads, everyone can first go there and see whether the answer to what they want to ask is already there.
That way there'll be no need to go through the trouble of searching...

Of course, if you don't find it in the featured section, you should still use the search function to look elsewhere!
If you still can't find any related thread, then it won't be too late to make a new post and ask!

Moderators, you should also get moving and mark some featured threads...

Marking featured threads does take quite a bit of work, but it has to be done. It's fine to start by marking your own good articles as featured.
That's still much better than having no featured threads to read at all.

You can mark the good articles in the posts across the sections you moderate as featured.
Otherwise, every day we tell forum members to first check whether there are relevant materials in the featured threads before asking questions, but where are they supposed to go read them?
I think we should get the featured threads organized quickly, otherwise the problem of people posting all over the forum and writing messy titles simply can't be solved!
