Is there any way to boot directly into DOS after startup without starting WINDOWS? Please reply.

If it's WIN95/98, and the hotkeys haven't been disabled, you can press F8 at startup and choose to enter DOS from the menu. Or press CTRL+F5 to enter DOS. If it's some other system, then boot with a DOS system floppy or CD.

Besides the methods mentioned above, are there any others? For example, by modifying some file in win98, can the system be made to enter DOS directly every time it starts up, without having to manually press F8 each time?

Just change that line in c:\msdos.sys
BootGUI=1 to BootGUI=0 and that'll do it

Besides the methods mentioned above, it seems this can also be done by modifying some system file (under WIN98). After modifying this file, the computer can enter DOS directly after startup without any manual operation. I don't know which file to modify or how to modify it. Please point me in the right direction.
