When I get the message "configuration file /dev/dnv/DJDIR/lib/lynx.cfy is not available" when enabling lynx.

Also, after I ran lsl and trspkt 0x60 successively, when running ipxodi, it says "IPXDOI-210-19: A Network adapter driver must be loaded before IPXODI.COM can be loaded".

And when running some network tools (ping, telnet, etc.), it says "config file not found; configuring though BOOTTP/DHCP". What's the matter?

IPXODI requires the ODI driver of the network card, not that Packet driver.
If LYNX encounters that message, set "set LYNX_CFG=lynx.cfg" before starting LYNX.

Which one of the places you mentioned last time is the ODI driver for the network card required by IPXODI?

This is the ODI driver:
http://www.terralogic.co.uk/drivers/rt686/driver/LAN/RTL8139/NWCLIENT/DOS/RTSODI.COM

And Lynx requires the Packet driver.

Still can't use lynx

NO nameserver defined!
NO nameserver defined!
"sin-mask" is 0.0.0.0 !
can't set local ip-address

Also, can't load lsl rtsodi ipxodi and ipxodi at the same time?
What does "The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available" mean

It means that the IP address and other settings are not configured. You can download the configured LYNX.CFG file from the article in the DOS section, or you can manually configure it in LYNX.CFG. The English sentence means that the server list cannot be displayed currently.

Why does the sentence "The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available" appear? I first loaded lsl trsodi ipxodi, then loaded rtspkt, and then it became like this. And then it was all like this.

Packet drivers, ODI drivers, and NDIS2 drivers should not be loaded simultaneously, otherwise only the last one will be effective.

Now it's not even possible to load the ODI driver alone, and the server list can't be displayed. ———What should I do?

Also, when the Packet driver is loaded, there is an IP, but after running lynx, that IP disappears (saying no IP is set).

That depends on whether other computers are all connected and network programs are all installed. Because it shows the list of all current servers. The IP of Lynx can be automatically configured using its DHCP method, without the need for manual specification.

The network cable is connected properly. First, I loaded lsl, rtsodi, ipxodi in sequence. Then net start asks you to set a password or something like that. That's it. (Is that right?)

I'm on an internal network. At first, after loading RTSPKT, there was an IP. After running lynx, it all became 0. Is it because of the internal network?

How to set up lynx.cfg?
Floor13 Wengier Posted 2002-11-14 00:00

To configure the IP address of Lynx, you should edit the WATTCP.CFG file. The specific method is to change the value of my_ip to dhcp or a specific address. For example:
my_ip=dhcp or my_ip=192.168.0.1, etc.
