Now computers don't have floppy drives. When the system has a problem, you need to use GHOST for recovery. Without a burner, making a USB flash drive bootable is more convenient. My computer doesn't have a floppy drive and also doesn't have a 98 floppy disk, so I had to give up. I'm depressed. Later, I read online that some computers may not necessarily support USB boot. Enter the BIOS, find the boot items, and see if there are items like USB-HDD; USB-ZIP; USB-FDD. Also, which one of the above three types your USB flash drive supports. Both aspects need to be supported to use USB boot.

I'm sure that even if there are those items in the BIOS, it might not start. The thread starter said there was a prompt that there was no file and also a prompt to insert a floppy disk. Is this the prompt under DOS? Then it means your computer can boot from the USB drive.

usboot doesn't support U disks with large capacities very well. If your U disk has a capacity exceeding 256M, it is recommended to divide it into two partitions. The first partition (less than 256M) is for booting. Also, it is suggested to use flashboot. There are registered versions for download on the MAXDOS website.

For flashboot, I also tried USBboot today and it didn't work.

Actually, regarding the problem of inserting a floppy disk in yours, in gss it by default creates 2 1.44M floppy disk images and then uses join or something to connect them and then generates ghost.exe which is the prompt to insert the disk. You can try http://chitchat.at.infoseek.co.jp/vmware/vfd.html to generate a 2.88M image file. What you need to do is how to make these disk structures more universal.
