The hard disk is divided into five parts: MBR (Master Boot Record), DBR (DOS Boot Record), FAT (File Allocation Table), DIR (Root Directory Area), and DATA (Data Area). The appearance of the C drive letter indicates that the MBR is not damaged. The ability to list directories using DIR indicates that the DBR is not damaged.
