A question:
Please help answer if you can see it.
Now the running machine has such a hard disk.
It should be able to boot DOS normally.
After booting, you can c:\dir
It can normally display the files on drive C.
Then when operating the files on drive C, whether copying or editing, it shows
sector not found reading driver c:

Experts, please tell what kind of error this is with the hard disk
Can it be repaired?

1. No address for downloading ARJ could be found.
2. I have such a problem with my hard disk.
The hard disk is only used under DOS and should be able to boot into DOS normally.
Because our work software still needs to be started under DOS. After booting,
C:\DIR
can display all files on the C drive.
But when editing and copying any file on the C drive, it prompts
SECTOR NOT FOUND READING DRIVER C:

Can't find the sector. It's estimated that there are bad sectors on the hard drive located in the FAT table, and it can't be read.

The hard disk is divided into five parts: MBR (Master Boot Record), DBR (DOS Boot Record), FAT (File Allocation Table), DIR (Root Directory Area), and DATA (Data Area). The appearance of the C drive letter indicates that the MBR is not damaged. The ability to list directories using DIR indicates that the DBR is not damaged. When performing operations on data and encountering the above prompt information, it means that the clusters occupied by these files are marked as bad clusters in the FAT (provided that the disk scanning program has been run, which marks unreadable and unwritable files in the file allocation table as bad clusters). If all operations are not possible, it means that the FAT table is completely damaged, and the FORMAT format command can be used to rebuild it.
