I installed DOS 6.22 with VMware Workstation 4.2, but I want to try reading files in other partitions. What should I do?

Let me explain in more detail. For example, my DOS is installed in a virtual partition under drive E:, and I want to read other files on drive C:, D:, or E:. What should I do? Under DOS, when I use the dir command, I can only see some DOS system files.
