China DOS Union

The boot mode of io.sys command.com under DOS can use autoexec.bat to execute GRUB, thus transitioning to GRUB.

Recently, I got Lao Jiu Maotao's WinPE, and there are only two files, ntldr and grldr, in the root directory, and then I can boot to GRUB.

Does ntldr automatically support grldr after startup? Is it like the built-in support format like boot.ini config.sys? It feels like ntldr was born before grldr, and I don't understand why it can transition automatically.

I don't understand the process very well. Hope to explain.

I reviewed lianjiang2004's "grub4dos Beginner's Tutorial" in the forum, and comparing it with the old Mao Tao's winpe installation iso file, it should be that grubinst was used to rewrite the MBR, which realizes that after starting ntldr, then starting grldr, thus transitioning to grub. Is this understanding correct?

Fake? What does it mean? Does it mean that after grubinst rewrites the MBR, the boot program in the MBR directly runs grldr without running ntldr at all? That's the meaning?

I compared the content sizes of ntldr in XP and ntldr in Motaoye PE, and they are exactly the same.

They can guide each other originally between the two of them

It turns out to be Lao Maotao 911 PE. This ntldr didn't work, directly from mtldr (a modified grldr) → minipe\LDRXPE (modified setupldr.bin)
