USB CD-ROM drive uses too much memory - China DOS Union Forum

After my laptop loads the USB CD-ROM drive it takes up 177k (external CD-ROM enclosure 2.0 + Samsung combo 48X),
DUSE4.4 alone can recognize the Samsung combo 48X. It can read the contents of the disc
I tried others before, they didn't work
I can't load Tianhui, and it says there isn't enough memory (CMI shows 351k conventional memory left),
I don't know how to use USBCD.SYS, please give an example.
Do I need to add parameters to Wengier USBASPI

The "New DOS Era" website mentions a solution to the hard disk "logical lock"
Can the modified IO.SYS replace the IO.SYS in a normal boot disk?
I want to burn it into a bootable CD, will there be any difference when using it?

The USB CD-ROM drive uses too much memory. After my boot disk finishes loading, only 330k of conventional memory is left. I can't load Tianhui, and it says there isn't enough memory.

Use mem/c/p and see how much memory the USB CD-ROM drive is really taking up!

Don't use duse, it's a real memory hog..

If USBASPI works, then use the USBASPI driver. Try adding a REM in front of DUSE.

The modified IO.SYS can completely replace the normal IO. USBCD.SYS is a driver for SCSI CD-ROM drives (!). If you put USBASPI.SYS before it, then USBCD.SYS can drive a USB CD-ROM drive.

First try replacing mscdex with SHCDX33A.com; then try replacing usbcd.sys with aspicd.sys. Whether it works or not, please reply.
