Dear friends:
Hello! Recently, my computer often hangs while defragmenting the C drive. The operating system I use is WIN98. When I use the disk defragmenter that comes with WINDOWS98, it hangs more often, while when I use SPEEDDISK to defragment, it hangs relatively less often. If you don't defragment the C drive, can the system still be used? Try using NDD to see whether the disk has bad sectors.

I didn't find any bad tracks when scanning the C drive. And there is no problem using the system. By the way, what is NDD? 263JACK |

The best way is to reinstall windows.

NDD is a disk scanning and repair program included with NORTON system software; it used to be an essential tool for people who played with DOS.
