I just bought a 4G USB flash drive today. I want to make it a bootable disk. But it has been unsuccessful all the time. Is it because the capacity is too large? Can it succeed after partitioning? Friends with experience, please give me some pointers

I bought a Teclast 4G.
Made it into ZIP format.
Can boot into WINPE, but still not satisfied.
Finally made a MAXDOS USB flash drive version IMG image in it. So cool!

The capacity of usb-zip should not exceed 256M. Make a large-capacity USB flash drive into usb-hdd.

Some motherboards don't support USB, right?

After searching the internet for two days, there are many inquiries about making a bootable USB drive with a large capacity (over 2G) for DOS, and it is said to be very difficult to solve. I just happened to buy a 4G one. I finally succeeded after two days. I will share my experience for everyone's reference.
　　
　　According to the tips on the internet, first download a software called flashboot (version 1.4.0.175), then, according to what many people said, first make a USB drive with the following:
　　
　　COMMAND.COM
　　IO.SYS
　　MSDOS.SYS
　　
　　Three boot files.
　　
　　Then, restart and see if it gets stuck on the boot screen and doesn't move?
　　
　　Don't panic, first pull out the USB drive and restart the computer.

　　After booting, first copy the above three files to another disk (you will need them later)
　　
　　Then, open flashboot again and do it again. This time, don't go the old way.
　　
　　When prompted: "Get DOS system files from here",

4G flash drive, after making it according to the method in floor 5, it can only start successfully once, and then it doesn't work. Does everyone have any solutions? Thanks a lot!

Just these three files are enough to succeed!

Flash drives made into ZIP boot mode will not disrupt the drive letters of the hard disk.

HPUSBFW supports large capacities over 4G and can only be made into HDD boot.

USBoot 1.70, liubenBootU.exe, neither supports 4G ZIP mode because the default is FAT16 format.

flashboot 1.4.0.157 (no 175 version), made in ZIP mode, but cannot boot. With the two-step method in floor 5, it can indeed be made, but it crashes after successfully booting once (freezes from the second time onwards). Please floor 5 to help analyze where the crux is?

I didn't find the flasboot 175 version, only the 157 version, is this the reason?

It's not that any USB flash drive will work. Besides the motherboard needing to support it, the USB flash drive also needs to support it to boot.

usb-zip is to simulate the boot of a ZIP floppy disk. The maximum capacity of a ZIP floppy disk is only 256MB
