I saw this on a computer before: even after changing the setting to show hidden files and clicking OK, the hidden files still could not be seen. How is this done?

Modify the registry
Change checkvalue under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL to 0 |
