Every time after I change the homepage in IE, the first time it opens it is the homepage I changed it to.
But the second time it goes back to the default homepage again. How can I change the homepage completely? I once deleted ACDSee directly, and as a result some file types showing as: ACDSee JPG Image can no longer be opened at all. Is there any way to open them? |

The value of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page is the IE homepage. If it always gets changed automatically, check your system.
Directly modifying the registry to change file associations is rather troublesome. You can choose File Types in Folder Options, and then modify it there. Or just double-click that file directly, and the system will automatically ask you to choose the program to use to open that file. |
