How to install DOS + ghost system on a partitioned empty hard drive, thank you
Supplement: Can be hung on another machine as a slave drive. No CD drive. No USB flash drive~~ Because the motherboards are different, so cannot copy. I want to hang on another machine to install矮人DOS and so on, but cannot customize the installation to the slave drive~~
I saw in the forum that directly copying DOS files doesn't work~~
Those who know, please tell me, urgent~~ Thank you
Don't say floppy disk DOS, CD-ROM DOS, because there is no such thing. Otherwise, tell me a method to convert floppy disk DOS, CD-ROM DOS to the slave drive of the hard drive. Thank you to all the brothers who answered below

Hehe, the person upstairs, have you heard of things like virtual floppy drives, grub4dos, or AVLGOMGR that can load floppy disk image files into memory to boot the system into DOS? Probably not heard of it. It's okay, just go online and search.

Use one of the above tools to boot the computer with your empty hard drive into the DOS system, then type sys x: and press Enter (here x is the drive letter assigned to the first partition of your empty hard drive under DOS), so your "empty" hard drive already has a basic DOS system installed. Then, return to the Windows system and copy ghost.exe and the system installation ghost image file to other partitions of that empty hard drive. Okay, the preparation work is done. Now you can remove the "empty" hard drive, install it back into the original computer, and then boot into DOS using ghost to install the new system.

Note: The two partitions involved in the above operations must be in FAT32 format, and the first partition is a primary partition and has been activated.

Heheh, actually a simpler method is to hang the empty hard drive on another machine, enter DOS, then directly use the Ghost program to restore the image file for installing the system to the first partition of the empty hard drive. After that, don't restart, exit the Ghost program, then directly power off, remove the "empty" hard drive, put it back in the original machine, restart, and continue the installation process. This operation no longer requires the partition format of the hard drive to be FAT32.

This method I often use, but sometimes the slave drive will not activate automatically, and it needs to be activated in Disk Management.

Thanks, brother above, it's okay~~~

The simplest way for this problem is format c: /s

If the system is already installed, then if you want to install another DOS and GHOST, there are too many methods and tools. I can think of at least more than five methods. I am replying to your question because you replied to my question, and I searched for the brother's question again, which is a little feedback to the brother! Hehe
