Right now I have a QYing ep-3vbm. Installing 98/XP is no problem, but after entering the system it always blue screens. I'm not too sure what's going on, so please, experts, tell me how to solve this problem.

I didn't overclock, and I also restored the default settings in the BIOS, but it still doesn't work. I also installed the 4IN1 patch, but none of it helped.

When does the blue screen appear? Please explain in more detail.
But I guess it may be a memory problem. I suggest trying different RAM.

My machine specs are: cII600, RAM 64M, hard drive: WD10G, graphics card: nvidia vanta16M,
Under 98, if I open the properties of My Computer it blue screens. As for WINXP, it also restarts for no apparent reason. It's driving me crazy.

Most likely it's a hardware quality problem with the machine. At the very least, you should take out the graphics card and clean it with industrial alcohol, then plug it back in properly and see whether it's a poor contact problem. I've dealt with several VIA-based machines, and none of them had the problem you mentioned.

Today I finally figured it out. On the serial port of that motherboard of mine, one pin was bent and touching another pin. No wonder every time

I checked the computer properties it would blue screen and hang. Still, thanks everyone for joining in.
