My Dell brand desktop computer, the first partition is 33M, hidden, Dell - specific. The second partition is the C drive (under DOS). The hard drive is 80G, divided into two partitions, both NTFS. The question is, should it be changed to (hd0,1)?

Generally speaking, the second primary partition is (hd0,1), but sometimes it is not necessarily the case if there is partition crossing in the partition table

I encountered this kind of computer, and later manually modified a byte in the partition table, then GRUB could be used.
