How to make a large-capacity IMG file? Take the production with WinImage software as an example. Please let me know if you know. Thanks!

Using WinImage 6.0, I just use it to select the image and change the format. The image made by it can be made into a bootable CD and can boot normally. This is what I have practiced.

Use ezboot, open Tools - Generate New Floppy Image, and in the image size, you can select up to more than 20MB (ezbootv5.09)

winimage already has 8.10.8100.
The method to make a 50M bootable IMG: File___New___Select Custom Image Format___OK___Sector Count (N):___102400____ Sectors per Track (T):___10___Heads (H):____2____Hidden Sectors (I):____0____Number of Physical Drives (P):____0____OK____Now a 50M IMG is generated. Image___Boot Sector Properties______Windows95/98____OK____Add IO.SYS and COMMAND.COM_____Save____Now a 50M IMG that can boot MSDOS7.1 is generated. The H=2 S=10 C=5120 of this IMG |

I have also done it many times, but it can't boot. Including creating a new one and modifying with a floppy image. I found that it all fails because the image size cannot be fixed. Finally, I have to find a suitable - size USB flash drive, first make it into a bootable USB flash drive (ZIP or HDD), then use Nero 7's Burning ROM to make a bootable CD. Then read it with ISO. At this time, the size of the IMG or BIF file is fixed.

I tried it using the method of "N不得不爱 Super Moderator" and it felt good, and making the IMG file is okay;
Now there is a question: You mentioned "Impression___Boot sector attributes______Windows 95/98____Confirm____Add IO.SYS and COMMAND.COM____Save____Now you can generate a 50M IMG that can boot MSDOS7.1" I tried it and couldn't make an IMG that can boot MSDOS7.1. I'm using the IMG file in Bochs. The prompt message is: Booting from HardDisk...... Missing Operating system...... What's the matter here? Mainly I don't understand how your IO.SYS and COMMAND.COM can form an IMG that boots DOS710? |
