Sample TextLet me tell you the story of what happened!!
A few days ago, I was working night shift in an internet café. I was using VM for an experiment!! I originally planned to install IPCON for dual-line traffic splitting. But for some reason, after partitioning with the virtual disk, the hard disk couldn't be found. After going through a lot of trouble, I had to mount the real D drive to install IPCON, but it still didn't work. There was no way, so I had to use the real system drive and it worked. Finally, it was installed, but then I remembered that installing IPCON would format the system drive, which would definitely cause the system to crash. Just thinking about it made me break out in a cold sweat! But strangely, after installing IPCON, the system didn't crash and everything was fine. I was secretly happy :). Anyway, as long as the experiment could be done, after working for the whole night, I accidentally crashed the system (experiments are definitely risky). So I had to restart and went to patrol by the way (nonsense, how can you not work when you're at work). When I came back, I was directly stunned. It turned out that my system had directly become an IPCON soft router, and the previous system was gone. There was nothing I could do but sigh. At most, I could just copy the master disk again (30 minutes). So I didn't care about it. Near the time to take over the shift, I used the master disk to copy, OK, everything was done :). Then I just had to restart to install the restore card (the restore card had been uninstalled when playing). And that's where the problem came in. No matter what I did, I couldn't install the restore card. I was really sweating! What was I going to do!! The supervisor would definitely scold me to death. Then I thought, forget it, let's format the hard disk in DOS first. Once again:mad: sweating profusely, but I couldn't enter DOS. There were several back-and-forths, and still couldn't enter (who invented this stuff, it's so powerful). In the end, there was no way. I put this broken disk on another computer and set it as a slave drive. As a result, even the master drive couldn't enter DOS (if someone can come up with such a protection system, they're not human, they're a cow) I had no choice but to try the CD-ROM. Finally, I managed to get a CD-ROM connected. It could start up. I let out a sigh of relief (you're tough, but I still have a way). I directly selected the menu to format the hard disk. As a result, it made me wait for 10 minutes and there was no response (broken CD-ROM, why is it so slow). I tried again, restarted and tried several times, but it still didn't work. I was dizzy. I was really unlucky. Could it be that even the CD-ROM wasn't working? Just thinking about it made me scared. (What is this thing, is it going to kill me or not). And sure enough, as I guessed, I was played to death. In the end, that hard disk retired honorably! Can't beat it, can't I avoid it?? Tip: When playing, I didn't know if I uninstalled the restore card or set it to not restore. After copying again, I could enter the XP system, but couldn't enter DOS. I suspect either I didn't uninstall the restore card, just set it to not restore, and after copying the hard disk, the restore card locked the hard disk; (in theory, it shouldn't. If it locked, it should not even be able to enter the XP system). Or it's the protection mechanism of the IPCON soft router (but I still think it's impossible. I'm not using your software anymore, why would it block my DOS system!). I've never seen any software with such a powerful protection mechanism. I don't know if anyone has any clues? Just tell me secretly, I'll keep it confidential. You can use this method to develop a very powerful protection software. I'll give you 10% of the shares:P Friends who are also rookies like me, don't top the post, just give me points. Let's leave the board for those who have technical content, okay?? |

I don't think so. The partition table is damaged, which should only affect one hard disk. Why can't the DOS of the master disk be entered when it is set as a slave disk?

Change to a machine without a restore card, and you still can't handle it.

If it still doesn't work, use a mobile hard drive enclosure, hang it on a machine with Windows, and handle it under Windows.

The premise is that the disk is not physically damaged......

After reading your answer, I'm very grateful!! But what you said are all just possibilities, I think it won't work.
1: It's impossible to find a computer without a restore card for experimentation. The disk has been taken away by the supervisor. Even if it were possible, the probability is very low. 2: Using a mobile hard disk, I don't have the conditions. I think formatting under PE is the most possible. 3: I don't know if the disk is bad, but I can enter XP. If you have read my post carefully, you would know. |

It is seen that the process disk is not physically damaged.

One of my hard drives had a partition table error caused by a power outage once. The 80G hard drive capacity became 400G. After entering WINDOWS XP, there was only a C drive. When booting into DOS, 2 drives could be recognized. (GRUB boot was installed in the MBR of the drive.) Then I booted into DOS, first executed FDISK/MBR, but when starting WINDOWS again, it still couldn't recognize other drives. Then I booted into DOS again, started SPFDISK, deleted all partitions and saved. Then I entered partitioning, and SPFDISK actually prompted that a normal MBR was found and asked if I wanted to use the found MBR. I agreed to use the found MBR, saved and exited, then restarted, and all the data was still there and all partitions were normal.

In addition, I see that your entire process has not executed the FDISK/MBR command

The amazing computer has all kinds of strange problems. I remember when I used the Haiguang restore card before (I forgot), it seemed that the manual mentioned that improper uninstallation would lead to the hard disk being unusable. I really encountered such a situation. At that time, I also messed around with diskgenus and pfdisk and finally it was OK. Recently, with a SATA hard disk, there is a machine. I don't know how that guy uninstalled it. As a result, no matter how I installed the restore card driver later, I couldn't partition and install the system. This time, no matter how I did it, it didn't work. Finally, I had to remove the restore card and directly use the SATA hard disk, which was normal. Oh my god

Your answers are all insightful, but the problem is that I can't even enter DOS, so how can I do FDISK/MBR? Even if I mount it on other systems, it's not possible.
