Among the many operating systems, I have a special fondness for DOS. I’ve always had a wish: to make a complete DOS system CD. Using an 8cm CD-R disc as the medium. Capacity 225MB. I think that should be quite sufficient, relative to DOS’s “simple, clean, clear, fast”

Is using an 8cm CD okay?? I think using a 12cm one would be safer, because I’ve run into cases where the CD-ROM drive couldn’t read 8cm discs!!

There are a lot of Win software in there... they can’t be used under DOS... it’s not a pure DOS disc...

Actually I’m thinking, if right from the start we want as many functions as Master Rushi said,
isn’t that making things too hard for the maker!
I’m thinking, could it be like 3.5-inch disks,
make some with only a single function first,
but a bit more targeted.

The main issue is the registry and the temporary files used when going online! Actually this CD 98 is a bit like a diskless workstation!
I heard an expert made one! But it was 95, and only in safe mode! What he proposed was this: install 98 on C first and set everything up!
