After booting with a CD that emulates a floppy, the floppy drive can't be used anymore. What should I do?
On Wuyou Disk, the real floppy drive can be used as drive B:. How is that done? |

In my on-the-fly Chinese-localized boot disk there is a tool called DEMUMGR.COM that releases drive A:
Wuyou does that through some boot menu management tools such as bcdw, there is a boot disk made with syslinux on this forum that can do this too.. It was made by our fellow member nre.. |

I tried it, demumgr doesn't seem to be very powerful.
What kind of thing is bcdw? Why couldn't I find it on Wuyou Disk? Where is the boot disk made by expert nre? |

I'd still like to trouble the experts to tell me how to turn the real floppy drive into drive B:. I'm using diskemu to make the boot disk.
demumgr can release drive A:, but when I use it in autoexec.bat, it doesn't seem to work! |

This shouldn't be a problem, right? After booting from a CD made from a 98 boot disk, the real A: drive becomes B:. What I want is to boot from the CD-ROM and still have A: remain A:, but up to now I still haven't thought of a way. Several experts on the forum haven't been able to sort it out either.

The following is a quote from hzjkyy at 2003-6-8 0:23:22: Use this, it can help you. Run it after booting from the CD, and it can swap A and B. Add /U to restore. Open attachment |
